She is around the same age as Yun Ming and Yali and attended Shrek Academy during the time Yun Ming and Leng Yaozhu did. Six years ago, she had a reputation throughout the continent as a heaven-shaking eccentric, yielding to no one and always doing as she pleased. Her common rampages had flipped the entire soul master world upside down. Peace only returned to the continent when Shrek Academy dispatched people to retrieve her. Like so, she vanished without a trace from the public’s eyes. Then she started to teach in Shrek Academy.

Plot
Cai Yue appeared during Class Zero's entrance test for Shrek Academy. She personally tested Tang Wulin during his fourth trial. It end up with Wulin slamming against the wall. During Gu Yue's turn on the fourth trial, Gu Yue launched a at her, in retaliation for hurting Wulin , causing Cai Yue to release her spirit power. Impressed with Gu Yue's prowess, she attempted to have Gu Yue become her disciple. She got flat out refused, angering her and she failed all four of them.
Cai Yue waited for Class Zero in the fifth trial room and failed them again. When walking out of the room, a smile creep onto her face.
