Description[]
The Eternal Tree is the nucleus or the life core of the Douluo Planet. It was born when Tang Wulin planted the Life Seed, which was given to him by the Ancient Golden Tree, in the deepest and center part of the Sea God Lake. After absorbing the energy from the Abyssal Plane, it evolved and was named as the Eternal Tree.
Appearance[]
It is a gigantic tree, an existence like a sky pillar, towering into the clouds and straight into the sky. Its height is at least more than 3,000 meters,[1] even taller than the Spirit Pagoda's Headquarter. It is green gold in color with green gold lights floating around. More importantly, the lower part of the trunk actually grows in the huge circular blue lake called the Sea God Lake. The trunk and roots of the tree can be seen from miles away and the giant crown akin to a huge umbrella is as large as the entire Sea God Lake.
There are many buildings surrounding the Sea God Lake. Between the buildings, there are all kinds of trees and plants, and a little further away, there is an endless forest. In the middle of a large forest is a circular city, called Shrek City.[2]
Sub Realms[]
The Eternal Tree has three sub-realms.
- A large tree house is formed on top of the tree and is known as the Eternal Sky City. Within the very center in the Eternal Sky City is a sub-realm that houses the Lake of Life. In the center of the lake is the Sea God Island and the Sea God Pavilion.
- The second sub-realm is the Inner Court of Shrek Academy.[3]
- The third sub-realm is the Land of Immortal Spirits. All Immoral Herbs, also classified as plant system spirit beasts, who have reached 100,000 year level, reside in the sub-realm.
Effects[]
In Soul Land 4, the life energy from the tree washes into Sea God Lake, filling the lake with life energy. All the youths on the entire Planet dream of becoming Shrek Academy's students so as to be able to cultivate in the Eternal Sky City one day.
- People who drink the water of life would have their lifespan extended and feel refreshed.
- It also helps a spirit master raise their cultivation and strengthen their body.
- The Eternal tree has a similar effect on the Immortal Herbs just like the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.[4]
Evolutions[]
After absorbing the energy from the Abyssal Plane which was a higher level plane than the Douluo Planet, the Ancient Life Tree evolved into the Eternal Tree. Many Limit Douluos broke through to rank-100 in succession and their lifespan was elevated to three hundred years.[5]
When Tang Xuanyu broke through to Spirit Emperor using the life energy from the Lake of Life, Xiao Bao helped promote the life level of the Eternal Tree.[6] As the tree evolved, it became easier for it to collect the life energy and more spirit masters would be able to reach the God Rank.
The Eternal Tree evolved again after absorbing the Heavenly Source Crystals from the Twin Planets that contained not only the huge amount of high level life energy but also some creation characteristics.
In SL4.5, the Eternal Tree evolved into the Divine Tree due to the influence of the Divine Realm. Its life level was mentioned to be equal to the Tree Ancestor of the Blue Gold Tree Clan in SL5.
