Grandmaster ep 6

Grandmaster explains how since Blue Silver Grass Martial Soul's tend to have weak Soul Power, training them take too much time, which is why Douluo Continent hasn't had a Blue Silver Grass Spirit Master, but since San has Innate Full Soul power he doesn't have that weakness. He then says San should aim for the Controlling System and that the Ring San gains should be aimed toward toughness (to cancel out the frailty of a plant) and poison, allowing him to limit his opponents movements and slow them down with poisons, which he can then attack (San thinks Hidden Weapons here). Grandmaster then dismisses San saying he will pick him up tomorrow.

Wu and San ep 6

Outside in the courtyard San tells Wu he's leaving school tomorrow and she camplains saying she'll have to do both their 'chores' (jobs for the working students), which San says he'll take care of both their duties when he gets back for a while, which she agrees to. San then turns to leave before Wu suddenly says she wants to spar again saying she doesn't accept her previous victory. San agrees but she takes him by surprise (throwing him with her braid, lol) and they fight a little before Wu pins San to the ground asking if he gives up where he says no. Before they can continue a teacher(?) comes out to yell at they for being loud and finds them with Wu on top of San, drawing the wrong conclusion. The teacher yells at them a little before Wu uses her favorite technique her, which she calls Rabbit Kicking Eagle, knocking the teacher into a bush to give her temporary amnesia. They then continue their fight, with San using the Purple Demon Eyes to read Wu's moves, before he lands several hits on her using pebbles when she tells him to stop dodging and attack. She refuses to accept the hits as a win and they continue, waking up many with the noise.

Ring Explanation

The next morning San is in a carriage with Grandmaster and he starts to explain the five different types of Spirit Breasts; 10 year (White Ring) , 100 year (Yellow Ring), 1,000 year (Purple Ring), 10,000 year (Black Ring), and 100,000 year (Red Ring), saying that the older the Spirit Beast the more powerful the ability you gain from it. He then says they are going to the SpiritHunting Forest to find San a 100 year Spirit Beast. San asks if Spirit Beasts can be hunted in groups and Grandmaster says yes Nobles tend to do so, and that it is necessary for the older ones. He then explains that only the person that directly kills the Beast can absorb the Ring and that the Spirit Ring of the Beasts don't last very long after the Beasts' death.

24 Moonlight Bridges ep 6

He also says the Spirit Beasts tend to be very proud so they would rather explode their own Spirit Power then let a human get it, which is why just capturing them is near impossible, and that even when you get the Ring unless your will is stronger then the Beast, the Beast can still kill you as you absorb the Ring. Grandmaster then gives San a belt with jade stones (a spirit tool) that can be used to store objects inside (think portable inventory, like in a game), and says he's been holding onto it for 30 years but hasn't used it. He then asks San to name it which he does; 24 Moonlit Bridges (in honor of the Tang Sect), which Grandmaster approves of.

Forest Entrance

Grandmaster and San arrive to the Forest entrance, where a lot of people are seen attempting to recruit others to make a hunting party. San comments on that and Grandmaster explains how a 'perfect' hunting party includes five factors; a Food system spirit master for supplies, a Healing system spirit master for condition and Spirit Power restoration, a Agility system spirit master for reconnaissance, a Strength system battle (Beast Soul) spirit master for defense, and a Attack system battle spirit master for attacking. He also says that a group shouldn't be formed in a day because there needs to be absolute trust in the members with each other, and that you should only form a group with people you can 'show your back to'. Upon making it to the heavily guarded  gate leading into the forest Grandmaster explains that only Spirit Masters with a warrant issued by Martial Hall (Spirit Hall, but will be called Martial Hall for simplicity) can enter the forest and hunt Spirit Beasts. San asks it the Forest belongs to Martial Hall or the country, but Grandmaster shushes him and says not to asks such questions there, saying he'll explain the relationship between Martial Hall and the country later (ooohhh, foreshadowing, fun).

Martial Hall Badge

He then says to get a warrant you need Martial Halls approval, be at least at the level to need a Ring, and get 3 Nobles approval. Showing San the warrant he explains that each warrant has 6 symbols and that the more symbols that are lit up on the badge (he has 3 lit up) the more respect the person has in/from Martial Hall, and points out the first 2 of six symbols on the warrant to San, a sword and hammer, saying you need at least those two to enter the forest. San asks if Tool Souls are considered lesser then Beast Souls, which Grandmaster says no and that a persons power is dependent on their cultivation (usually through meditation), not their Soul Type.  As they approach the guards at the gate Grandmaster explains that each symbol on the warrant represent the top 3 clans of the two countries of Douluo Continent; the Heaven Dou Empire (where they are) and the Star Luo Empire (Martial Hall is situated in between these two countries and is considered neutral). Grandmaster then hands the warrant to the guard where they then promptly open the gate. They enter the forest and after walking for a bit, are surrounded by a pack of wolves...
