Di Tian is the number one and publicly known strongest Spirit Beast in the world, the leader of the Ten Great Savage Beasts, the Beast God, the dictator of the Great Star Dou Forest, and the Golden Eyed Black Dragon King. He owns the Dragon King’s Claw, a technique bestowed by the Dragon God to his loyal guards, the Black Dragon King clan.
Appearance[]
Beast Form[]
It is an enormous dragon about 3,000 meters long, and the whole body is as dark as ink. Every scale seems to reflect the darkness, and only a pair of eyes are brilliant gold.[3]
Human Form[]
He is a handsome middle-aged man in a black robe with golden lines who possesses black hair with one golden strand hanging, sharp deep golden pupil eyes, with an at least 2 meter height body and broad shoulders.
Personality[]
He has an unyielding, stubborn and proud personality.[3] During the events of SL2 and SL3, he has a complete hatred of humans and presses his lord, the Silver Dragon King, to act. In SL4, he appears to be in a neutral stance to humans to point of moving years before from Douluo Planet to Elf Planet. He cares much about his fellow spirit beasts and does what he can to prevent them from going extinct. He clearly stated due to his pride, he would never contract as the spirit soul of a human. He also possesses strong loyalty to the Dragon God, willing subordinating himself as a spirit servant to Lan Xuanyu, his little Lord (young master) and reincarnation of the Dragon God.
Soul Land 2 Plot[]
Huo Yuhao fought Di Tian as the last part of his God of Emotions Trials. In that fight, Huo Yuhao presented Di Tian the potential of spirit souls.
Soul Land 3 Plot[]
Volume 1 - Awakening[]
Di Tian stood by the shore of a lake within the center of the Star Dou Forest. With him stood several people of varies heights and sizes. Bi Ji came by his side. An expression of gloom was present on everyone's face. The Star Dou Forest become the last heaven for Spirit Beasts. Suddenly, the earth begun shaking, causing some spirit beasts to think it was a human attack. Di Tian calmed down the spirit beasts, his formerly grim face was now overcome with an indescribable euphoria. He took a step forward and kneeled down on one knee, greeting the Silver Dragon King as she awakened from her sleep and rose from beneath the earth before him. The other spirit beasts followed suit. Di TIan and several others followed Gu Yuena to the human world outside the Star Dou Forest.
Volume 5 - Land of Star Luo[]
He later appeared in the Dragon Clan Graveyard with five other Great Beasts and Gu Yuena to search for the Dragon God's core.
Soul Land 4 Plot[]
Volume 9 - Elf Planet[]
Before the events of SL4, the spirit beasts signed a pact with humanity. Since then, humanity has colonized multiple planets and stopped the hunting of spirit beasts. Two of the planets were given to the spirit beasts to inhabit. Di Tian lived on Elf Planet with some Great Beasts, many other spirit beasts, and the elves, who were the original inhabitants. He invited people from the Federation, Shrek Academy, Tang Sect, and the Spirit Pagoda to witness him break through in his cultivation to God Rank. Before the time of his breakthrough attempt, Tang Xuanyu and his class came to the Elf Planet to witness the event and get spirit souls by forming a contract with a spirit beast. He sent over a hundred spirit beasts to the class to chose from. Later on, he had his daughter escort Xuanyu to meet him.
Upon confirming Xuanyu's identity, Di Tian changed his plans about becoming a God. Should he fail to overcome his heavenly tribulation, he would become Tang Xuanyu's spirit soul servant and with the help of his bloodline, one day breakthrough to God Rank. Since Di Tian was extremely weakened from the earlier breakthrough attempt, he needed to recover for a long period of time and asked Tang Xuanyu to keep his existence a secret from Gu Yuena and Tang Wulin. By becoming Xuanyu's Spirit Soul, he was able to speed up his recovery.
Volume 10 - Seeing The High Lord[]
When coming back from their Shrek Outer Court 1st Year Final Exam, Lan Xuanyu and Bai Xiuxiu visited Teacher Nana at Sun Moon Academy near Shrek Academy. Once arrived, both exhausted children fell asleep in Teacher Nana's room, but Teacher Nana's presence alerted Zi Ji and Di Tian. This prompted them to spiritually appear in front of her, informing her true identity as the Silver Dragon King, the state of spirit beasts and sympathy for her amnesia. Di Tian hid Tang Wulin's existence from her too. This encounter also made the re-slumbering Di Tian to question why Tang Xuanyu called Gu Yuena Teacher Nana when the family relation was obvious. Di Tian was revealed to have lied to Tang Xuanyu. Quasi-Spirit Soul Di Tian's sleep did not only require 1-year, but 3 years minimum for stabilization, and Di Tian was monitoring Tang Xuanyu's life 24/7 since he became his Spirit Soul.
Volume 19 - When will he wake UP?[]
Zi Ji let Tang Xuanyu know that Di Tian would wake up once Tang Xuanyu reached 7 rings. He possibly and most likely would wake up at 6 rings but Xuanyu unlocked Spatial instead of Darkness. What this change would bring Di Tian or Tang Xuanyu was unknown at this time.
Volume - Di Tian's Final Sacrifice[]
He sacrificed his existence to provide his Little Lord the resources to step further during his unique God (Rank 70+) Tribulation. One of Di Tian's name characters (帝) was included in his Little Lord's 6-word Battle Armor's name as honoring Di Tian's great contribution to his future.
Trivia[]
- In Soul Land IV Book 9, it is indirectly hinted that both top female Spirit Beasts, Bi Ji and Zi Ji, deeply love him.
