The Overlord Dragon is the King of the Land Dragons. It is the one true overlord of strength that dominates the terrestrial soul beasts. Moreover, it personally possesses the Golden Dragon King’s bloodline and one of the purest dragon soul beasts within the Golden Dragon King’s direct bloodline.[1]
History[]
It is known as the unyielding spirit soul of the Spirit Pagoda. Moreover, it is an elite soul amongst all of them. It is one of the most uncontrollable creatures. There are only a few that are on par with it. The Overlord Dragon is wild and overbearing in temperament. There was once a human soul master who had achieved Rank 90 that wanted to absorb it as his final spirit soul, but he died tragically as a result of being forcibly breached by it. None have ever conquered its unyielding will. Amongst the Spirit Pagoda’s preserved souls, there is only one spirit soul from a soul beast that has been extinct since ancient times. It is also a creature at the pinnacle and exceedingly disobedient. It’ll often devour the other soul beasts in the spirit ascension platform. The spirit pagoda had thought about killing it, but due to its long history, as well as its rarity, they chose to leave it be.
Appearance[]
10,000+ Years[]
When it first appeared, it was a titanic, sixty-meter tall monster with a body as vast as a hill. There were thick greyish-black scales covering its entire body, each one an irregular shape. Most of which were oval and semicircular, but in the middle of the forehead was a brilliant golden colored diamond shaped scale, exactly like the scale of the Golden Dragon King’s. Its monstrous head was almost a quarter of its body length, and with colossal pair of eyes. It was dragging a thick and strong tail behind its back, and its slightly gaping mouth was big enough to swallow even the Diamond Boar King. Its ghastly white teeth were as sharp as knives inside its cavernous mouth.[2]
After it devoured the skeleton of the Overlord Dragon in the Dragon Valley, it started to grow tiny wings on its back. But the amusing part was that the pair of wings was disproportionate to its body. The wings were only about ten meters in width when spread out so it was apparently impossible to lift its enormous body, over seventy meters in height and fifty thousand kilograms in weight.[3] The dusk gold radiance that covered its entire body seemed to glow brighter than before while the thick, heavy scales appeared to be exerting even more terrifying pressure.
100,000+ Years[]
As Tang Wulin's cultivation base grew, it was undergoing a tremendous transformation as well. It was around hundred meters tall. Its incomparably monstrous figure was even more fearsome. Its entire body was covered in duskgold scales. The scales were each about the size of a table, thick and heavy with obvious cuticles at the surface. There was even an enormous horn that grew out of the top of its head.
Its biggest change was the wings. When they first emerged, its pair of wings could only produce a minor effect when it was performing actions such as jumping due to its massive size. By this point, its wings were at least five times larger than their original size. They were attached to its back like an enormous cape, making the Overlord Dragon appear even more overbearing and ferocious.
It had had a kind of awakening due to the Golden Dragon King Bloodline, causing it to undergo a continuous transformation process. Judging by its appearance, it wouldn't be recognized what kind of creature it was.
Abilities[]
Judging by sheer destructive power, even the Duskgold Dreadclaw Bear of the Ten Great Beasts could not compare to the Overlord Dragon.
When it was 10,000 years, even the ordinary 100,000-year-old soul beast may not be better than it. Its combat strength was comparable to a true dragon.[4] In a certain way, it was even more terrifying than a true dragon. Its physical offense and defense were also very strong. After it grew wings, it would be close to the ranks of the Nine Great Dragon Kings.
Duskgold Dragonfire[]
The flames shot out by it was dragonfire for real. The Dragon Clan’s dragonfire did not invoke the origin energy’s fire element of the outside world. Instead, it was a special type of fire nurtured within its own body. Its temperature was much higher. Moreover, with the tenacity of it, the flames it shot out in a flash was overwhelming in its volume.
Overlord[]
After it roared furiously, a layer of dark golden glow shone on its body. This was the Overlord Dragon’s inborn ability which was known as Overlord. The effects of all control-type soul skills would be extremely weakened in its presence.
Plot[]
It first met Tang Wulin in the Intermediate Spirit Ascension Platform of the Spirit Pagoda. It sensed the Golden Dragon King bloodline in him and willingly offered to become the spirit soul of Tang Wulin. After it devoured the ten thousand years spirit ring of the Demon Spirit Great White Shark King, it officially became Tang Wulin's spirit soul. It accompanied throughout the journey of Tang Wulin together with Gold Song and other spirit souls.
Trivia[]
Although it didn't debut in the Soul Land 4, it should have already become God Level together with Gold Song being the spirit souls of Tang Wulin.
