Description[]
The Sacred Sword of Light is the ultra divine weapon of Zhang Gongwei, the protagonist in the novel "Son of Light."
It was originally a pseudo divine weapon, one of the six divine weapons bestowed to Zhang Gongwei and his five partners by the King of Gods in the Forest of Gods after passing the test of courage, strength, wisdom, and character; eventually inheriting the Sacred Sword of Light that shines upon the sky. The others inherited the divine weapons: the Armor of the God of War, the Horn of the God of Sky, the Hammer of the God of Strength, the Shield of the God of Thunder, and the Bow of the God of Wind respectively. In order to resist the turbulent flow of time and space, Zhang Gongwei's five partners sacrificed one by one, leaving only their Seed of Life; and the overdraft of the five divine weapons was integrated into his Sacred Sword of Life, upgrading it to the ultra divine weapon level. [2]
Appearance[]
The Light Sword is an exceptionally exquisite silver long sword, about four feet long and four fingers wide. Its spine is straight at first glance, but when look at closely, it seems to have turned into a strange arc; that is so natural. Its handguard and body are in a cross shape. The two ends of the handguard are spherical and slightly drooping. The hilt is about one-fifth the length of the whole long sword. In the center of the cross formed by the guard and its body, there is a diamond-shaped transparent gem, which faintly exudes a faint colorful light. The sacred silver aura is continuously emanated from the long sword, floating around in circles.
History[]
Son of Light[]
Because of a mission given to Zhang Gongwei by his teacher, he embarked on a journey along with his five trusted partners to the Forest of Gods that was guarded by the Nature Elves. Along their way, they encountered an elder of the Nature Elves who was on his way out of the forest to seek help from their friend because they were suddenly attacked by the Dark Elves. The elder of the Nature Elves bargained to help them find the exact location of the Sacred Sword of Light in the Forest of Gods if they would help them in resisting the attacks of the Dark Elves. Hence, he agreed and defeated the Dark Elves then cured the Nature Elf King using his profound light magic. Afterwards, the six of them all passed the test of courage, strength, wisdom and character of the King of Gods, and eventually inherited a divine weapon each. [1]
Tang Sect Heroes' Biography[]
At the beginning, Zhang Gongwei's prestige relied on the six divine weapons bestowed by the King of Gods, and finally turned the tide, defeating the invading Demon King, and guarded the mortal world.
He also became a god, and eventually became the God King of his divine realm. However, when the catastrophe came, in order to help the gods to resist the disaster, his partners sacrificed one by one, especially his five closest partners, who eventually joined forces to help him resist the turbulence of time and space. They, but all, disappeared because of overdraft, leaving only the Seed of Life.
The five divine weapons under their control were integrated with the Sacred Sword of Light, and finally it was elevated to the level of an ultra divine weapon.
He performed Forbidden: The Awakening of the Gods during the Battle of the Gods, competing with Tang San's group of gods as to which divine realm would become the leader of the alliance of the gods. [2]
Abilities[]
All of Zhang Gongwei's divine healing, defensive and offensive magical spells can also be incorporated to his Sacred Sword of Light.
- Holy Light - the Sacred Sword of Light draws a beautiful trajectory in the sky with huge energy that seems to penetrate the sky and the earth, and slashes towards the enemy
- Holy Light Cross - the Sacred Sword of Light splits two silver rays horizontally and vertically
- Great Dimension Slash - the air seems to be torn apart, and a huge crack appears sucking the enemy in
- Forbidden: Eternal Light of Healing - is a light healing forbidden curse
- Forbidden: Seal of Time Rift - there are two ways to use forbidden spells. One is to suck the enemy directly into the different dimension like the Great Dimension Slash, and the other is to seal. The time of the seal depends on the level of the caster.
- Devil Slash - sends a lightsaber to cut to the opponent
- Forbidden: The Awakening of the Gods (termed Forbidden: The Light of Extinction in Tang Sect Heroes' Biography novel) - attacks by the burning Fire of Life
